YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS

 

HARTFORD FOUNDATION FOR PUBLIC GIVING

This scholarship is NOT automatic. It is from the Alvord Family Fund and the scholarship is awarded to help an equine student with financial needs that is a member in good standing with the Glastonbury Pony Club. The application process consists of any interested Glastonbury Pony Club member drafting a letter to the foundation stating why they should be considered for the award. The letter should include how the award will help the student and how the student will use the award to give back to the riding club.

 

RANDY MAY MEMORIAL YOUNG RIDER SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is offered by the Connecticut Vintage Equestrians to young equestrians who wish to participate in activities related to equestrian education. Relevant activities might include horse camp, a hands-on seminar, or participation in a competition that includes an educational component. The scholarship is supported by the Randy May Memorial Dressage and Combined Test, which is a benefit horseshow held annually on the last Saturday in August. AMERICAN CONNEMARA PONY SOCIETY

The American Connemara Pony Society offers both national and regional scholarship awards to young equestrians that are members in good standing with the ACPS. THE FARNAM EQUINE PHARMACEUTICALS SCHOLARSHIP

Farnam offers a scholarship for USPC members as a reward for excellence in academic pursuits and outstanding achievements in Pony Clubs. This scholarship is awarded to an active Pony Club member who is currently enrolled in, or accepted to, an institution of higher education. To qualify, applicants must have achieved a Pony Club rating of C-3 or higher and maintained a minimum of 2.0 academic grade point average.
